DiveBlob hits Kickstarter goal, officially seeing Game Boy and GBC release
Retro gaming wins again
With just four days left on its Kickstarter, the funding goal for DiveBlob has been hit, meaning it’s a lock for release on both the Game Boy and Game Boy Color.
DiveBlob is a fast-paced platform-survival game for the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color. Boasting a smooth 60fps, you will be able to get the most out of the 7 unique unlockable characters that change the way you play. In addition to this, the physical cartridge will have a built-in rumble motor, so that you will feel every platform on your quest to survive.
Gameplay Features
- 7 unlockable playable characters with their own unique abilities
- Different platforms with hazardous effects to keep you on your toes. Do Blobs have toes?
- Randomly generated levels so that no two runs are the same
- Silky smooth movement and physics that stand out on the retro console (We can’t stress this enough)
- Automatically saves to keep track of your high scores, progress, and preferred settings.
- 8 Original music tracks by Ashleigh Bridges, a talented composer popularized by their work in Old School Runescape
- Second input mode to control the character with both thumbs rather than one.
There’s still plenty of time for you to lock in your purchase of DiveBlob, so if you like what you see, hop on the Kickstarter and pledge some cash!
